BLUETTI AC200L Review: The Big Boy for Serious Backup

Who This Is Actually For

Let me save you some time. If you’re looking for something to charge your phone on a day hike, close this tab. The BLUETTI AC200L weighs 62 pounds. It’s not going anywhere you can’t drive to.

But if you live in hurricane country — say, the Gulf Coast between Houston and Pensacola — or if you’ve got a cabin that’s three miles from the nearest power line, the AC200L starts making a lot of sense.

I tested one during an ice storm in Little Rock, Arkansas last February. Not on purpose. The storm just happened to show up three days after the unit did.
